More birds

On Wednesday, 25th June, 2003, we went with some friends to Skomer Island to see the sea birds.  We left Martin's Haven at 10.30 and were particularly interested in seeing the puffins.  Our friends had never been to Skomer before and were looking forward to the prospect of seeing them close at hand...or foot, as it turned out!
Once on the island, we were welcomed by the warden and given the safety rules and advice as to where to go and what to see.  Once informed, we took a quick look at the seals that were hauled out on the rocks and set off to the Wick.
We saw masses of puffins en route but at the Wick they almost run across your feet to get to their burrows.
Here are some of the pictures of our visit.

Here are a few more pictures of birds.  These were taken on Tuesday 24th June, 2003 at Porthclais in Pembrokeshire.  I was sitting at a picnic table when they came and landed on it or on the wall next to it.
