My Family

This picture was taken at the Fishguard Regatta in 1912. It shows many of my family members. My Grand father is the gentleman with the beard and my mother is seated at the front. She is smiling and wearing a white hat.

My mother was one of ten children who survived into adulthood. They all lived in a cottage on the Slade in Fishguard. The row of four cottages is still there but my mother's home has been altered recently.

Many of my relations live in and around Fishguard. I have a cousin who is lucky enough to have a lovely house right on the quayside. Another is a fisherman and a member of the Lifeboat Crew.

View of Lower Town from Penslade
This is  a view of Lower Town and the quay.  It was the setting for 'Under Milkwood.'  This was the '..Fishing-boat bobbing sea...'
You can see the Preseli Hills in the background.

This plaque, which is on the quay, commemorates the filming of 'Under Milkwood'
