| Here
are Mr and Mrs Henry Hancock. Mr Hancock was the eighth child and
always introduced himself as "Henry the Eighth!"
Mrs Hancock died in 1990 and Henry died in 1999. Before she died, Annie/Nancy Hancock handwrote her memoirs in in a notebook. There, she told her story of a young girl growing up in Worcester in the early part of the twentieth century. She brought to life the trials and tribulations of her childhood, adolescence and womanhood. Editing the memoirs for publication became a priority for our retirement. Publication was achieved in November, 2002. Since then, we have been thrilled by the reaction of its readers and gratified by their kind comments. |
