The Pembroke Company of Archers shooting range is situated on St. Daniel's Hill near the Golden Grove School in Pembroke. The main club target days for shooting are Wednesday morning from 10.00 am and Sunday when the starting time is usually 1.30 pm. However, established members of the club may begin shooting earlier in the day depending upon the round of arrows to be shot. Established members may also shoot at other times during the week as long as the necessary safety precautions are adhered to. Due to the size and the voluntary nature of the club, we are only able to offer beginners lessons and the opportunity to join the club in the Spring at the start of the outdoor shooting season. The next course of lessons will not now take place until the Spring of 2010. NOTE: The waiting list is now full for 2010 Applications received during the last year will be dealt with in the order that they were received. The club field allows just 7 bosses to be used at any one time; this limits available target space and therefore membership. Membership is reviewed each year at the Annual General Meeting. Based on the numbers of actual shooting members, membership places are agreed and courses for beginners arranged to take place in the early part of June each year. Other local GNAS clubs may be able to offer beginner’s lessons before this time, please visit the dyfedarchers.org.uk website for contact details, the nearest being Fort Archers, Fishguard or Carmarthen Archers, Meidrim. Alternatively if you wish to be held on the waiting list for next year please email name(s), (age if under 18), address and contact details to the Club Secretary. Existing GNAS members wishing to join the club should contact the Club Secretary for consideration by the Club Committee. GNAS archers, visiting the area, are welcome to shoot with us if target space allows. Please contact the Club Secretary to confirm. There are two GNAS registered disabled archery clubs within the Dyfed Archery Association area. These are 3 Counties Inclusive Archers who are based at the Show Ground near Carmarthen and Carmarthen Archers who are based in Meidrim. Details and links can be found HERE |
