| He was "Pop" to everyone. He loved life - he lived it to the full. He loved being with his family and it is a comfort to us that his last couple of weeks were spent with many of his big family around him. He had a wonderful week in Wales and visited relatives in Fishguard. It was there, as children, that we all spent so many family holidays staying with Mum's parents or with our various aunts, uncles and cousins. On his last night in Wales, at Dave's, he enjoyed a wonderful meal with four generations of us and he was in his element! He loved his family, his food and his red wine. |

| He did not suffer. The night before he died he was doing what he enjoyed most - eating, drinking and playing cards with eleven of his family, including some of his great grandchildren. Whenever we play Newmarket now, we will think of Pop. We always played it at Christmas. Jack remembers that Pop taught him to play crib; just as he had taught his sons and grandchildren many years before. |
