| The morning he died he
was looking forward to a pub lunch - he even said, as he often did,
"It's on me!" But alas, it wasn't to be.
Pop was not ready to die. But then, he never would have been! Recently, he bought a new gas cooker and the kitchen had fresh floor covering. He asked the workman, "Will that covering last 8 years? 'Cos I'm not going before I am a hundred!!" We all loved him and
we'll miss him terribly but he will always be with us in our hearts.
Funerals are for saying our good-byes but they are also about
forgiveness and reconciliation, for showing our love and sharing our
grief. He was a lucky man to have had such a caring family and we all were
lucky to have had him for such a long time.
